Ethics, Education & the Ethos of AI


Kevin (PhD) LaGrandeur has more than 25 years of experience teaching, writing and speaking about technology and society, especially concerning AI ethics. Lately, he has been speaking about this at government and business meetings. He spoke to a segment of the EU Parliament on June 6, 2023, about AI and jobs, and is on a committee to form United Nations guidelines for using worker voice data.

Andrew Sedillo, Director of Microcredentials at New Mexico State University, with over 13 years of experience in K-12, higher education, and corporate learning. Andrew leads NMSU’s microlearning initiatives, creating skill-focused credentials that empower learners for today’s job market. He also contributes to innovative projects like the NMSU Virtual Reality Initiative and AI-driven microcredentials, shaping the future of education and workforce development.

Phillip Alcock, co-founder of PBL Future Labs with Thom Markham, and the Director of Innovation at Alayna AI. He is helping to develop masterymate.ai - the World's first PBL x AI tool/platform. He is a Global Keynote Project-Based Learning Speaker, published author and sustainability Advocate. He is based in Mexico.

Doors open at 5:30PM. Event begins at 6PM. Light refreshments will be served.
